OUR LUCK IS CHANGING :)

We just found out today that Josh passed the Ohio Bar Exam!!! Its be a few years since he has been out of law school and endured some trials with Josh graduating and all, but thank goodness we have pulled through it and have been blessed. We have had so many different things happen in our lives the past year that it has been a rough patch, and for Josh to work full time, have 4 kids and another one on the way, it was hard for him to put the time and effort he needed too for studying, but he did it!! I am so proud of him and am thankful for all he does for our family, I love you honey, way to go!!

TIME OUT FOR WOMEN

I have been totally slacking on the blog posts, so I am going to try to be better. This last weekend I had the privilege to go to the Time Out For Women conference in Pittsburgh over night. I have never been to anything like that before and I have not left the kids overnight to be away unless it was hospital stays...I did have some anxiety about it and I did shed some tears, but am thankful for my husband who held down the fort while I was gone and reassured me that I really needed this break before baby number 5 comes. We couldn't afford for Josh to miss work so I could leave earlier, so I waited until he got home and rode down with my friend Jen and met our other friends down there from our ward. I had printed out map quest directions, but thank goodness Jen brought her GPS, otherwise we would have been lost for sure! Pittsburgh was an interesting place, it was fun to be somewhere new and only took 2 hours exactly to get there. The conference was amazing and so uplifting, I have been in a slump lately and it was just what I needed. The theme was having infinite hope, and there were so many different messages through out that were speaking to me at this moment in my life, they talked about trials that we face as wives, mothers and women, how we can empower ourselves and things we can do to keep doing the best we can do. One phrase that I heard over and over that stuck in my mind, was even if we don't understand why we are going through certain things, our father in heaven does and we need to put our faith and trust in him. My absolute favorite and most inspiring talk was the very last one, it was a lady-Sis. Belcher who was diagnosed with eye cancer when she was 7 months old, it was amazing to listen to her life story, the trials she faced and the many, many surgeries she went through and the physical, emotional and mental pain she had to endure. She is disfigured and is blind, but she was resilient and bounced back to life and learned to laugh about things have hope and never gave up. She is married with 2 kids and it broke my heart to think what if I was blind my whole life and could never see my babies faces when I brought them into the world, thank goodness for eternal life and that one day we will all be resurrected and she will be able to physically see her family someday. I was anxious to get back home to my own husband and children, even when things are so trying and hard, I still have my family and the gospel of Jesus Christ, and really, things could always be worse. I am so blessed to have so many awesome friends, I had so much fun , here are a few pictures from the weekend..

Baby Delaney's Dresser

I know some of you might think I am dorky for doing this, but I am just getting so excited! We have been looking for a cheap 30-40 dollar dresser off of craigslist for the new baby and have had no luck finding a decent white dresser for that amount. My mother was up here in Ohio for a few days closing down her storage unit and had this little dresser in the box new and in white that she was not taking with her and we scored and got it for FREE! I was so thrilled and then wanted to fill it with a bunch of pink- cutesy clothes, and since we are starting over with little girl things in this house, my good friend from church brought over a bag of little girl clothes to put in it. So here is a picture...YAY FOR PINK!!!

Easter Sunday

Alright, this is a long post....Usually I cook a big meal and my dad comes over for dinner and my sister usually goes to her husbands family for all of the holidays, but she told him that this year they were coming to her family's house. It was a great Easter Weekend, with wonderful Conference talks, beautiful weather, lots of food, family and fun...Here are a lot of pictures :) We have so much to be thankful for, especially for a Saviour who lives and loves each of us! Our desserts..

So I totally forgot to take a picture of the feast at the beginning when it all looked pretty, but here is the aftermath...I did a turkey and ham this year and the turkey got scarfed down..

My nephew Shawn

Justin LOVED today, from the time he woke till the time he went to bed because it involved candy. I think he knew what was in the eggs and went wild trying to get all of them so he would have the candy
Wade had fun too, he got a few eggs and then was more interested in eating dirt and sticks..

Daniel, Natilie and Wade with their cousins, Shawn, Lilly, Bella and Julie by the van, we couldnt get Justin to put down the candy to get in this picture

Justin, Natilie and my ex-husband Dan came over for a little bit...It took many, many years to get to this point, but it's nice we all get along now and can do fun things with Daniel and Natilie together...

Daniel and his cousin Shawn
Justin this morning after he got his Easter bucket, he went to town with his candy and was shoving it in his mouth so fast like he was afraid someone was going to take it from him, he had it all gone in about 20 mins ( I know what a good mom I am for letting my kid eat that much sugar in 1 day, at least its all gone now and done with :)..

Wade loved the ring pop suckers (he puts it in his mouth and sucks on it like it is a pacifier) and the cotton candy
Justin and more of his candy

Daniel and Natilie with their baskets and Natilie has her gummy candy bunny teeth in..
