Happy Holidays

I was really bad at having my camera ready this year to take pictures, but we still had a great Thanksgiving. I cooked over at my dads house since his kitchen and dining room is way bigger than ours. I love to cook holiday meals! We had a huge dinner with just about everything, but Justin was picky and would only eat corn and rolls.....We just relaxed, ate, and watched some football, and helped decorate my dads Christmas tree. I went thru the sale ads making my map for black friday shopping. I had everything planned out according to the times the stores opened and what I wanted from each store. I have gone shopping every year since I was a teenager, and I didnt think I was going to be able to go because money was tight, but my dad had me do his shopping for our presents from him. I got a ton of stuff for great price. I got up at 2am and was at old navy by 2:30 because they opened at 3 but they were a MAD HOUSE, people were putting their stuff done and leaving, which is what I did too. I hit then about 4 other stores. It was fun and productive, but I was beat when I got home around 9am. We had our Christmas tree up the weekend before Thanksgiving, and here is a picture of the tree (which I might add that it was a 15 dollar craigslist purchase that is a 3 piece and prelight tree :), but my camera is junk so the picture doesnt look very good. So far Justin does great with not pulling it over and Wade crawls over to it and touches the bottom ornaments but that is about the extent. We are really excited for Christmas!

CHRISTMAS IS IN THE AIR...AND A FEW RANDOM PICS

this is my niece Julie who is 1 and Wade, we were cracking up because she kept making this face.

I love his 2 little teeth
Wade at my nephew and niece's birthday party

We pulled out all of our Christmas decorations and put up our tree this last weekend, and needless to say, Justin is "psyched" about Christmas!

WADE IS AN OFFICIAL CRAWLER

Oh and don't worry, I didn't talk a lot in this one :) After I played that last one, I realized, wow...that the high pitched mommy voice sounded a little annoying, I think I went overboard that time, or is it just me :)

NEW MOON-GIRLS NIGHT OUT

On Thurs. night we decided to have a girls night out and go see the midnight showing of New Moon. Now, I have never done this before with seeing a midnight movie on opening night, with Wade getting up numerous times at night and being pregnant I am pretty tired and have been going to bed around 8:30, but I haven't been out in so long and just thought it would be fun to do this, even though I did not like the first movie and thought it was dumb, but I am happy to report that I thought the 2nd movie was much better and now I am interested to read the books that Jen is going to let me borrow...It was a very fun and exciting night, my sister Cheryl, Julie, Jen Meeks and I met at Applebees at 8:30 to eat appetizers and then we showed up to the movie theater around 10 and there was already line, thank goodness we were able to all sit in the same theater. We ended up meeting Laura there and saw Anna and her mom and sisters, the Juhasz's, and the Jone's girl. It was so fun to see other friends from church there and all be together. I am looking forward to doing this again for the next movie! Thanks girls, for a fabulous time, love ya!

Mr. Wade is trying to crawl

Wade is now beginning his first few crawling steps, he goes about 2 crawl movements and then he gives up or does this bear crawl type of thing, check out the video. It is so cute to watch. On another note, this kid is still getting up a million times at night and he just turned 8 months old, we have let him cry it out and 2 nights ago, he cried for 2 hours straight without stopping and last night he cried for 3 hours straight, the kid just doesn't want to give up. Anyone have any suggestions, do I just keep letting him cry like that and he will eventually get over it??? I have been running on no sleep for 8 months and being pregnant (which always makes me extra tired) I just want to run and hibernate in a hole to get some sleep :) It's a good thing he is just so darn cute :)

OUR FIRST WEEK OF RECOVERY

So this last week has been challenging...well let me be honest, our house has been a train wreck! It has been a week since Justin's surgery and the first few days he did pretty well as long as he was medicated and even ate a few things, now its a different story, he cries, whines and is so irritable, he will hardly eat a thing, looks so tired and weak and when we go to give him the pain med's it practically takes 2 of us to hold him down because he hates the taste and throws a huge tantrum, and to think we still have another week to go. So I apologize to those I usually talk to or hang out with, we have pretty much stayed at home, while I listen to Justin cry, Wade cry, and Daniel and Natilie fight with each other all of the time, boy I am going crazy.....Here is a funny picture soon after Justin came home when he "was" doing better playing with Wade in the shopping cart...

OUR LITTLE MAN IS HOME....

This was this morning and he is eating breakfast, the only thing he would eat was the scrambled eggs, which he has NEVER done before, even after many attempts, but I guess the kid was desperate, he can only have this type of soft foods for 2 weeks...

Justin settled into a room overnight and the med's kept him pretty comfortable..
We were called back the recovery room and there were a ton of kids crying because they woke up from surgery, but as soon as the doors opened, we heard Justin above all other cries, he was in so much pain, and loopy for med's, the nurse said he was freaking out going crazy in the crib and trying to pull out his IV, my poor baby...
Mommy and Daddy with Justin in the waiting room before he was taken back for surgery, he loved the train table and the fish.

Today Justin and I came home from the hospital, they did take out the Tonsils and Adenoids and put tubes in his ears, the works. It has been exhausting 24 hours, with little sleep for the both of us. We took a few pictures of before and after. Everyone at the hospital was great and Justin's ENT doctor is amazing, we love him! The first 8 hours after surgery was horrible, the poor thing, I felt so bad for him, he was miserable and looped up on morphine and motrin, he didn't want to sip a thing. After the morphine wore off and they gave him motrin and Lortab he was able to tolerate the pain to eat some egg noodles, ice cream and canned diced peaches and a ton of Sprite. After we got home today he took a long nap, but when he woke up evidently his med's had worn off and he was so out of sorts, and crying rolling on the floor, it was so sad, thank goodness for med's!! The Dr. said it will be a rough next 2 weeks, but he should be so much better afterwards. We appreciate everyone who has helped out with our kids (and Laura for taking Wade)who have sent emails, made phone calls or text's to check on us, we appreciate all of you!
We are so proud of you Justin and love you very much!

LITTLE JUSTIN'S SURGERY

Our little man Justin is having his first surgery the day after tomorrow (Thurs. Nov. 5th) he has had problems since he was about 6 months old, with constant sinus infections, upper respiratory infections and some ear infections and has been on antibiotics ALOT. So he will be having his adenoids and tonsils taken out, and probably tubes put in the ears (the Dr. said he would decide about the ears on the day of surgery, but he had a double ear infection about a week and a half ago, so it will probably be a go) I get so nervous with him being so young and I am a huge worrier, more about the anesthesia than anything, well...and the long recovery afterwards, I guess he will be living off of milkshakes for 2 weeks, because he can only have soft foods and liquids for 2 weeks after and he cant stand, soft, mushy, slimey food, I am afraid he is going to drop from his 38 pounds to 20 pounds or something crazy like that....Here is a cute happy picture of him before surgery, and I will do an after post when we get home for the hospital which will be friday. (they will keep him overnight because of his age.) Please keep him in your prayers!
