Rough week

This week has been a rough one, with constant sickness in our house, Josh in crunch mode to take the bar and a million things that always need done, but didn't get to this week, because I was too sick and tired to do. Josh has left to take the bar today, I am sad, hormonal and crying, I miss him already and I hope the next 3 days will go by fast so he will return home safely. I can't imagine that kind of pressure for taking a 15 hour exam with having a family, 4 kids, a 5th on the way, a full time job and the stresses of life...way to go honey, we love you! I am so thankful that he doesn't have to travel a lot or is working crazy long hours like alot of my friends husbands who are resident doctors, I don't know how those ladies do it, I sure admire you all. I am a baby and don't like to be left alone, thank goodness I will have 4 kids to keep me busy though, even if it is crazy, I love being a mom!

Baby

Just another update on those following our pregnancy (mostly out of town family) I went to the Dr's on Monday and I am not out of the woods yet. There is still concern with my placenta but at least my Dr. explained to me more of whats going on. He said that in my placenta I have big masses of veins which also appears to be growing into the wall of my uterus. He says that this can cause problems with delivery, so I have to have another ultra sound in 8 weeks so he can see if things have changed, if they have not changed I will be sent for a MRI to see more closely how things look and then will have to plan how to deliver. The two concerns he has if things don't change, is that first- because the veins are grown into the wall, after I have the baby I can hemorrhage, and second- the other thing that can happen is that the placenta can get stuck and not come out, and will have to be surgically removed. So we are just waiting for the next 8 weeks and then come up with a plan. He said he would talk to me about my options when we do the next ultra sound, but in my mind the only thing I can think of is I would have to have a C-section??? I don't know, but I am worried, but I am going to try not too until we know for sure, but it's no fun.... On another note, baby Delaney seems to be doing good so far :)

Finally a date!

We finally got to go out on a date without any kids which we have been wanting to do for so long, but we usually end up with a million things to do or can't afford to pay someone to watch all of the kids. It has been about a year and a half, since we went out without any kids at all. A huge thank you to our good friend Jessie who was so kind to offer to watch all 4 kids so Josh could take me out to eat last night (friday) for an early Valentines day dinner at Flemming's Prime Steakhouse (that we had gift cards for) I must say it was a very nice and relaxing time. We have never been to a fancy restaraunt like that before so it was a new experience for us. We had to laugh when the lady sat us down to eat, I was wearing red and black and she asked us if we wanted dark napkins instead of the cutely folded white ones on the table so we didn't get white lint on our clothes....lol...who would have thought that up, we had to snicker, it was definitely a huge step up from our dinners at Taco Bell with the kids :) The food was fabulous and it was nice to just have some husband and wife time (especially before baby #5 gets here) here is a cheesy picture the waitress snapped of us there. He also topped it off by buying me Mally's famous chocolate covered strawberries that they only sell for Valentines days, they usually sell out but after making 3 trips to get them, we finally got them on the 3rd try and they are delish!!
I am thankful for my husband and hope you all have a wonderful Valentines Day weekend!!

Finally a new/cheap camera

Our ebay camera has just arrived this morning and I must say for the price it was a good purchase and I love it! Here are a few random pictures we took today testing it out... We bought Justin a potty chair thinking we could get him at least familiar with it, with hopes to have him potty trained by the time this baby comes so we wont have 3 kids in diapers, but that is not looking to promising, so far he just uses it as a chair to watch tv and dump his potato chips in the bowl of the potty chair to eat...gotta love this kid....

Latest News...

Justin and Wade went to the dr's again, and Justin has his 3rd ear infection since his surgery in Nov...I tell ya putting him through tubes in his ears and tonsils and adenoids out really did him a lot of good...Well now the dr. wants him to get evaluated by an Infectious Disease Dr. because of his repeated infections so he will get evaluated and we will see, he may have to go on a long term antibiotic....Wade just had a red throat and a swollen tonsil....I also have to take Justin to get his speech evaluated, I was putting it off until he was closer to 3 but the dr. said she at least wants him evaluated, he is almost 2 1/2 and isn't making any progress and pretty much only says mama and dada...So many dr's appts, with these kids and myself..so little time...

On another note, we got a cheapy 100 dollar camera off of ebay, so it is on the way, I can't wait to start taking more pictures again and get them posted! I just hope it doesn't end up being a piece of junk :)

Camera

So in case you have been wondering why I haven't posted a lot of pictures lately, our camera has bit the dust....I am so bummed because there were a few cute pictures I had already on there and now I can't get it to turn on to even download those few...I guess we are going to have to look for a cheap camera. I can't stand not having one while the kids are young, they do the cutest things :)

Doctor's

For those of you who don't follow on facebook, I went to the high risk doctor and had the longest ultra sound of my life. The Tech did a 45 min ultra sound and then the actual doctor came in and did another 15 min one. He pointed out every inch of the baby's body and said she is healthy and there are no problems. He also said that my placenta is abnormal, but it appears to be still functioning and not causing any problems with the baby. I guess along the backside of the placenta is just a big mass of veins, which looks really weird on the ultra sound, but things are A-ok for now and they will keep an eye on it, I go for another ultra sound on the 15th...We also had 2 more confirmations at this appt. that it is indeed a girl, which I needed, because in the back of my mind I was still saying it's a boy :)

UPDATE

This is just a short update on my previous post with our baby girls ultra sound. I was waiting to hear back from the dr.'s office today about the placenta and they are sending me to a high risk doctor tomorrow to have another ultra sound and be evaluated. I guess the way my placenta looks is not normal and is very "unusual" and they said it is rare for this type of problem. I guess we will see what happens. It sure would be nice to have one pregnancy without problems, oh well maybe the next one????

WE ARE THRILLED AND I WAS WRONG

So, I was for sure it was going to be another boy today at the ultra sound and was worried that Daniel and Natilie were going to bust into tears when they announced "it's another boy" but I was wrong, I about fell off the table when they announced it was actually a girl. But for the first 15-20 mins, they weren't even sure if we would be able to find out because this baby had her legs crossed and refused to move them. It was quite the picture, I had the sonographer and Josh, poking at my belly repeatedly trying to tick the baby off so she would move, then that didn't work, then they had me going onto my side and back again trying to get the baby to reposition and then finally at the very last second after lots of pushing and poking the baby kicked one leg out and we saw. Daniel and Natilie let out a yell and Jumped up and down I think the whole office heard. Everything looked great with the baby, she is right on target, although there is some concern with my placenta and they had to do blood work today, it's kind of hard to explain but the Dr.said that it is rare but that my placenta looks unusual, she said she couldn't even describe what it looked like, but that the few cases she has seen a placenta look this way, there is a problem with how it formed and then a huge amount of pregnancy hormones is released which could lead to problems. So they tested my levels today and if they come back in the normal range then they will just keep an eye on things. If it comes back high, they will have to do further testing to investigate. Hopefully in the end things will be ok. I just seemed to have to have one kind of problem or another with every pregnancy. Josh took like a 10 sec. video clip of the baby's face, you can see below...

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is anyone else's kid obsessed with sucking on baby wipes or is it just mine????

Wade (like his sister Natilie when she was a baby) LOVES, LOVES, LOVES to suck on baby wipes....I was loading the dishwasher and made the mistake of leaving the container out and this is what I came into the living room too, he had pulled a bunch out sucking away on them while he was watching tv....seriously if he is acting up or hungry just give him a baby wipe to eat, who needs toys or food :).....

Bundled for the snow...

Justin LOVES to play outside in the snow, his snowpants we realized when we put them on are a 2t from last year and this year he is in a 4t, they were so tight on him it looked funny, so here he is sporting his cars pajama's, way too small snowpants and his winter hat...he had so much fun!

Out with the old and in with the new....

So now that we survived the horrible New Years Eve. (in previous post) I did want to say that I am glad for a new year and what it will bring. We had a ton of trials this past year, but even then we still had many blessings to be thankful for, a new home (even if it is tiny), Josh graduating from law school, me getting accepted into Akron University Nursing clinicals with having 4 kids and getting all A's, the kids loving their new school, a precious and adorable new baby boy Wade and to be blessed to be pregnant again (no matter how hard it may be :) and we are definitely thankful for the gospel of Jesus Christ and to be members of this true church in these latter days. What a privilege it is to be apart of his work here on the earth, to create and build families and trying each day to do better, to follow his commandments so that we may return to live with him and our families forever and spreading and teaching his gospel! Despite the trials and hard times, it's great to be alive, life is too short, we need to make the best of it each and every day! We are so thankful for all of our wonderful family and friends and love each of you! May the lord bless you and your families in the upcoming new year!

Not a good New Year's Eve...

So, this is a short blurb about our New Years Eve extravaganza. It started off with me being sick with some stomach bug, hormonal/pregnant/depressed on top of it, Daniel and Natilie nagging each other all day until my dad came to get them to spend the night at his house, and a cranky Wade who had not slept the night before and both he and Justin getting over sicknesses still, and to top it off, I get a phone call and text's through the night because last eve. my mom's husband passed away......

happy new year to us...not quite what we had planned....

A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS

Mommy in her new robe and Wade
Wade loves to pull himself up on things and stand forever, especially if its in front of the tv
Wade was as happy as can be......he is not afraid of the camera like Justin is....

Natilie was in heaven with all of her gifts, here she is sitting with "Pa"

Justin was overwhelmed with toys, he didn't know what to play with..

Natilie and our little dog Shadow, who is wearing his new doggie coat that Dan got him

Miss Natilie wanted a new coat and hat, scarf and gloves, she is totally into fashion now..

After Daniel finally got his game, he was hooked to the ps3 and tv....sitting in Justin's chair

Natilie, Daniel and Justin Christmas morning
Daniel adores his little brothers..
My almost 12 year old sporting spongebob footie pj's...gotta love this kid....
The kids at Grandpa's house in their new pj's

We had a fabulous and blessed day. We were worried about Christmas and didn't think we would really have one because of our "run of very bad luck" these last 3 months with some things that have happened, but I have to say how thankful we are to all of those who helped our family out and made this the best Christmas ever for my kids, it brought tears to my eyes, and you all truly are angels the lord has blessed us with! Here are some pictures from our fun day. Daniel and Natilie got up at 7:30am and woke everyone else up, we had to drag Justin and Wade out of bed and my Dad and the kids father came over to watch them open presents early in the morning. I think Justin was a little overloaded and didn't know what to do, Wade actually loved crawling around and ripping paper and playing with everyone's stuff. Natilie was so crazy with excitement it looked like she drank a whole 2 liter of Mountain Dew she was going so fast. Daniel was very grateful and had his eye out for one particular presant that was a game for the ps3 and we had him thinking he didn't get it, but in the end it was the last present he got and opened, he let out the biggest scream. I made a HUGE meal that my dad had bought, the ham was 17 pounds, needless to say we have ham in the freezer for a while :)
The kids got pj's for Christmas eve, and they all looked adorable, my Fave is Daniel's though, even if they don't fit him next year, it was worth it just to see him in them this Christmas, it was so funny!!

NEW HAIR-DO

As a lot of you know I am obsessed with and love hair and I love to do different things with hair all the time (and Josh has been wanting me for sometime now to stop highlighting my hair blonde) So I decided for a change, some of you wanted to see pictures, and against my better judgement (because I dont like pictures of myself) here is one. Our ward has been blessed by having an awesome couple move into it and Jen does hair and let me tell you she does a FABULOUS job!! I have gone darker a few times in my life, mainly in winter and she has done the best yet. What do ya think?

NATILIE'S FIRST DOG SITTING JOB

As a lot of you know, that Natilie is our animal/pet lover, especially of cute little dogs. She is really excited to have her first little job with pet sitting. We have had Hayley's cute little dog Juicy since Thanksgiving day while they are out of town for the holidays. Natilie loves her and here is a picture. Juicy is very timid and likes to stay mostly in Natilie's room and hide, but she will come out for Natilie and Josh and we think Shadow is scared of her which is funny because Shadow is about 10 pounds and Juicy is like 2..... we have enjoyed it.

Happy Holidays

I was really bad at having my camera ready this year to take pictures, but we still had a great Thanksgiving. I cooked over at my dads house since his kitchen and dining room is way bigger than ours. I love to cook holiday meals! We had a huge dinner with just about everything, but Justin was picky and would only eat corn and rolls.....We just relaxed, ate, and watched some football, and helped decorate my dads Christmas tree. I went thru the sale ads making my map for black friday shopping. I had everything planned out according to the times the stores opened and what I wanted from each store. I have gone shopping every year since I was a teenager, and I didnt think I was going to be able to go because money was tight, but my dad had me do his shopping for our presents from him. I got a ton of stuff for great price. I got up at 2am and was at old navy by 2:30 because they opened at 3 but they were a MAD HOUSE, people were putting their stuff done and leaving, which is what I did too. I hit then about 4 other stores. It was fun and productive, but I was beat when I got home around 9am. We had our Christmas tree up the weekend before Thanksgiving, and here is a picture of the tree (which I might add that it was a 15 dollar craigslist purchase that is a 3 piece and prelight tree :), but my camera is junk so the picture doesnt look very good. So far Justin does great with not pulling it over and Wade crawls over to it and touches the bottom ornaments but that is about the extent. We are really excited for Christmas!

CHRISTMAS IS IN THE AIR...AND A FEW RANDOM PICS

this is my niece Julie who is 1 and Wade, we were cracking up because she kept making this face.

I love his 2 little teeth
Wade at my nephew and niece's birthday party

We pulled out all of our Christmas decorations and put up our tree this last weekend, and needless to say, Justin is "psyched" about Christmas!

WADE IS AN OFFICIAL CRAWLER

Oh and don't worry, I didn't talk a lot in this one :) After I played that last one, I realized, wow...that the high pitched mommy voice sounded a little annoying, I think I went overboard that time, or is it just me :)

NEW MOON-GIRLS NIGHT OUT

On Thurs. night we decided to have a girls night out and go see the midnight showing of New Moon. Now, I have never done this before with seeing a midnight movie on opening night, with Wade getting up numerous times at night and being pregnant I am pretty tired and have been going to bed around 8:30, but I haven't been out in so long and just thought it would be fun to do this, even though I did not like the first movie and thought it was dumb, but I am happy to report that I thought the 2nd movie was much better and now I am interested to read the books that Jen is going to let me borrow...It was a very fun and exciting night, my sister Cheryl, Julie, Jen Meeks and I met at Applebees at 8:30 to eat appetizers and then we showed up to the movie theater around 10 and there was already line, thank goodness we were able to all sit in the same theater. We ended up meeting Laura there and saw Anna and her mom and sisters, the Juhasz's, and the Jone's girl. It was so fun to see other friends from church there and all be together. I am looking forward to doing this again for the next movie! Thanks girls, for a fabulous time, love ya!

Mr. Wade is trying to crawl

Wade is now beginning his first few crawling steps, he goes about 2 crawl movements and then he gives up or does this bear crawl type of thing, check out the video. It is so cute to watch. On another note, this kid is still getting up a million times at night and he just turned 8 months old, we have let him cry it out and 2 nights ago, he cried for 2 hours straight without stopping and last night he cried for 3 hours straight, the kid just doesn't want to give up. Anyone have any suggestions, do I just keep letting him cry like that and he will eventually get over it??? I have been running on no sleep for 8 months and being pregnant (which always makes me extra tired) I just want to run and hibernate in a hole to get some sleep :) It's a good thing he is just so darn cute :)

OUR FIRST WEEK OF RECOVERY

So this last week has been challenging...well let me be honest, our house has been a train wreck! It has been a week since Justin's surgery and the first few days he did pretty well as long as he was medicated and even ate a few things, now its a different story, he cries, whines and is so irritable, he will hardly eat a thing, looks so tired and weak and when we go to give him the pain med's it practically takes 2 of us to hold him down because he hates the taste and throws a huge tantrum, and to think we still have another week to go. So I apologize to those I usually talk to or hang out with, we have pretty much stayed at home, while I listen to Justin cry, Wade cry, and Daniel and Natilie fight with each other all of the time, boy I am going crazy.....Here is a funny picture soon after Justin came home when he "was" doing better playing with Wade in the shopping cart...

OUR LITTLE MAN IS HOME....

This was this morning and he is eating breakfast, the only thing he would eat was the scrambled eggs, which he has NEVER done before, even after many attempts, but I guess the kid was desperate, he can only have this type of soft foods for 2 weeks...

Justin settled into a room overnight and the med's kept him pretty comfortable..
We were called back the recovery room and there were a ton of kids crying because they woke up from surgery, but as soon as the doors opened, we heard Justin above all other cries, he was in so much pain, and loopy for med's, the nurse said he was freaking out going crazy in the crib and trying to pull out his IV, my poor baby...
Mommy and Daddy with Justin in the waiting room before he was taken back for surgery, he loved the train table and the fish.

Today Justin and I came home from the hospital, they did take out the Tonsils and Adenoids and put tubes in his ears, the works. It has been exhausting 24 hours, with little sleep for the both of us. We took a few pictures of before and after. Everyone at the hospital was great and Justin's ENT doctor is amazing, we love him! The first 8 hours after surgery was horrible, the poor thing, I felt so bad for him, he was miserable and looped up on morphine and motrin, he didn't want to sip a thing. After the morphine wore off and they gave him motrin and Lortab he was able to tolerate the pain to eat some egg noodles, ice cream and canned diced peaches and a ton of Sprite. After we got home today he took a long nap, but when he woke up evidently his med's had worn off and he was so out of sorts, and crying rolling on the floor, it was so sad, thank goodness for med's!! The Dr. said it will be a rough next 2 weeks, but he should be so much better afterwards. We appreciate everyone who has helped out with our kids (and Laura for taking Wade)who have sent emails, made phone calls or text's to check on us, we appreciate all of you!
We are so proud of you Justin and love you very much!

LITTLE JUSTIN'S SURGERY

Our little man Justin is having his first surgery the day after tomorrow (Thurs. Nov. 5th) he has had problems since he was about 6 months old, with constant sinus infections, upper respiratory infections and some ear infections and has been on antibiotics ALOT. So he will be having his adenoids and tonsils taken out, and probably tubes put in the ears (the Dr. said he would decide about the ears on the day of surgery, but he had a double ear infection about a week and a half ago, so it will probably be a go) I get so nervous with him being so young and I am a huge worrier, more about the anesthesia than anything, well...and the long recovery afterwards, I guess he will be living off of milkshakes for 2 weeks, because he can only have soft foods and liquids for 2 weeks after and he cant stand, soft, mushy, slimey food, I am afraid he is going to drop from his 38 pounds to 20 pounds or something crazy like that....Here is a cute happy picture of him before surgery, and I will do an after post when we get home for the hospital which will be friday. (they will keep him overnight because of his age.) Please keep him in your prayers!

SO FAR SO GOOD...

I had my third Dr's appt today and another ultra sound. It was still very hard to see anything but we could see a "shadow" of a baby and more importantly we saw the flicker of a heart beat :) The heart beat was 113 and they said it probably just started to beat. I am 6 weeks 2 days and my due date is June 15. I still get a little worried because there is still some kind of blood clot in between the baby sac and my uterine wall, but the Dr. said that he thinks it will be fine and not cause a problem but they will keep an eye on it. I was happy today to at least see the little flicker so hopefully it will be smooth sailing from here :) Thank you all who have helped out saying prayers, watching kids, brought over a meal, and just being there for me!!

SICKNESS...WILL IT EVER END....

Well our family too have had a horrible week with sickness. It appears that Natilie had H1N1, that was the sickest we have ever seen her, and trust me she has been sick a TON, they started her on Tamiflu right away which helped instantly, she has missed a whole week of school, but she is not liking the nice big stack of homework that she has to make up. Now Justin and Wade have been sick, so I have been terrified that they will get it too. I took them to the Dr.'s today and Justin has a double ear infection and Wade has Para Influenza, which is just the regular flu, but we have to watch that they don't develop breathing problems or higher fever because they could still get H1N1, but hopefully not. We are so grateful for a WONDERFUL pediatrician, who does whatever it takes to make her patients better and to find out what is wrong. I just hope somehow Josh, Daniel and I remain healthy...

2009. AUG. FAMILY PIC'S THAT WERE DONE IN UTAH

My In-laws just emailed these pics last night, they are the ones we did in Aug. when we went to visit them in Utah. They are not the best that we have done but at least it has all of us in it, right... Trying to do pics that day was horrible, Justin screamed and cried, for almost the entire time! We tried to talk to him, bribe him with M&M'S, which worked in a few pics that he is not looking at the camera but at least he is not screaming! We found out afterwards that he was just starving, after he ate, then he was fine, so we now know for the future to FEED him first :)
I can't believe he is not a newborn anymore :)

I love this picture of Natilie, it is just so her!
