It is hard for me to believe our Wade is 3 years old already, this kid has been through so much medically since he has been born (both Justin and Wade have) a year of illness, tests and in and out of Children's, a diagnosis of Autism from more than one doctor and the last year of intervention therapy every week, he has continued to improve over this last year (we are a firm believer in diagnosing early, the sooner the better and starting therapy early has made a HUGE difference) We are so proud of Wade, it has been a very difficult road, but he has blessed our lives immensely. Wade loves to smile, giggle, rough housing, anything sensory stimulating to his body (especially his legs) the sleep is still very unpredictable, but with trials of medicine, the sleep is a little better than it used to be (not close to ideal but better :) within the last few months he has finally started to try and repeat sounds, which we are THRILLED to see!!!! We started off his birthday with a trip to the Neuro center at Children's for his doctor appt with Bro. Hull who is in our ward and is a developmental pediatrician and has been a great blessing to know (than later on I had a drs appt)! By the time we left all 3 kids were melting down, so I took them to Giant Eagle to pick out a birthday cookie
After Josh got home from work, we decided instead of doing a birthday party (which would have cost more) to take Wade to one of his favorite places to eat Wendy's and then had coupons to take him to the Amazone to play. He LOVES to climb, jump and run, but to the EXTREME! He had such A BLAST!!! We need one of these things in our house (if we had enough room :)
Natilies best friend Maggie came with us, those two had just as much fun as the little ones did! (Daniel was at a boyscout campout)
All of the kids LOVED the slide, they did it over and over and over
Taking a break from all the running
After we got home from all of the fun, we sure love our little man!!!
Because the day was full of doctors appts and running around I did not get to plan on making a far out cake like I usually try to do, so this was done in about 20 mins. I did a frog because Wade LOVES to jump nonstop, Josh always says that the world is Wades personal trampoline, he jumps everywhere and it all started before he was 1 years old. instead of crawling, Wade would hop like a bunny on his knees and shins everywhere no joke, it was the funniest thing ever, then after he turned 1 he transitioned to jumping. He still continues to jump off of everything, even high things and come directly down on his shins and knees for that deep impact, he is our little froggy (gosh I wish I had his legs, they are SO muscular from all his jumping!)
The icing is the best part!
He loves balls of all kinds and because we are a baseball family we though he would enjoy this batting pitching machine made for little kids, and he sure LOVED IT!! We are so thankful to have Wade as a part of our family, he has helped us in so many ways!! We love you Wadester!!

I can't believe that Wade is 3. I'm actually looking forward to feeling better to be back in the nursery. It will be fun to be able to teach these cute kids again. Happy Birthday Wade!
